Summer Art Camps are back at L’Atelier 5! This summer we are doing 1- three day camp session per month, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2-5pm. This is the perfect time to steal away from the heat of the day and get creative in the studio. Three exciting sessions to choose from! All ages welcome, artists will be divided by age in the studio.

June 26, 27, 28 All About ME
Creating an altered autobiographical art book. Artists will use a variety of media and explore themes about conveying information about oneself through art. Children should be prepared for class with some photographs or copies of pictures to include in their work, as well as small objects or memorabilia. They may also bring an old book that has special significance if they would like, however, books will be provided.
July 17, 18, 19 Recycled and Repurposed
Artists will transform found objects and recycled materials into creative masterpieces with unique qualities and visual interest by making the old new again using recycled materials in art. (Flag artwork created by the talented Ruth Hewlett)
Artists will travel the globe learning about the artwork created by self taught local artists and tribes. Traditional Kuna molas, the shacks of Beverly Buchanan, leather tooled stories by Winfred Rembert, the quilts of Gee’s Bend and more. Students will reflect on art making and the importance of the creative process for everyone.
