Tuesday, April 19th, Animals in Art
Animals have long been a source of inspiration for artists. We will look at and discuss animals in artworks from around the world throughout history, from paintings of domestic animals, to studies of birds, to fantastic large balloon dog sculptures. Artists will create animal artworks using a variety of materials. We may explore the works of these masters:

Wednesday, April 20th, Food in Art
Food glorious food has been featured in many artworks throughout time. In the kitchen or in the fields at harvest, gathered around a bountiful feast or baking a simple loaf of bread. From the whimsical portraits of Arcimbaldo, to the pies of Thiebaud and still lifes of Cezanne we will explore the subject of food in art. Students will create delicious artworks inspired by the above as well as:

Thursday, April 21st, Vehicles in Art
A horse & carriage, elephants, viking longboats, trains, boats, air balloons, cars- artists have been getting around the globe for centuries. We will take a look at transportation in art throughout time across many different cultures. Students will get a move on in the studio using a variety of materials while we discuss works by artists like:
