Hearts for Haiti

The studio made an appearance at the Bridgehampton PTO’s benefit for Haiti last weekend at the Community House where a slideshow presentation by a local mission was informative and eye opening as to the great needs of these people. The school put on an outstanding marimba performance as well. Thank you to the BHPTO and MACARONI KID for inviting us to be a part of this worthwhile event.

Using Louisiane St. Fleurant of the St. Soleil group of naif painters from Haiti as inspiration, we set up materials to allow people to create hearts…small little wishes, or prayers, or positive energy messages to create an outpouring of love and hope for those in need there. We also painted lots of faces!

Check out our photo album of the event as well as an outstanding video by one of the brilliant young ladies who assisted us that day.

Remember the famous words of Margaret Mead….

“a small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
